Length + Difficulty (Hike or backpacking trip): Did a lot of hikes but don’t remember the names or difficulties of most.
Best time: Didn’t track any times, just went at our own pace. Spent a lot of time stopping and enjoying the beauty.
Brief Summary: A few years ago I flew into Venice with my wife. We thought it was cool and all, but quickly left for the country. We drove to the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia and were blown away by the beauty of that place. Everywhere we went was like a fairytale.
Recommended areas:
-Lake Bohinj - Water is amazingly clear. Great views. Highly recommend SUPing.
-Savica Waterfall - West of Lake Bohinj. Beautiful hike to a falls.
-Zajamniki - Little summer village in the top of the mountains. Gorgeous.
-Vintgar Gorge - Near the city of Bled.
What to bring: Jacket for change in temperatures.

Name: Tinfoil Dinner
Ingredients: Basically anything you want (all the veggies, potatoes, onions, carrots, etc., cheese, meat)
Recipe: Add salt & pepper & favorite seasoning. Wrap in heavy duty aluminum foil. Warm on hot coals from your campfire. A hot meal is always good when camping.
