SLEEP OUTSIDE SERIES: MEET AJ
- MEET AJ -
Name: AJ Cutler
Position: Sales Operations + Data Entry Specialist
Where: Professor Creek Falls
Length and difficulty: 8.5 miles roundtrip, moderate day hike
Best time: Afternoons in the summer (June-September)
Brief summary: Nothing beats cold rushing water on hot summer days in Southern Utah. This hike follows Professor Creek to a fun waterfall created by giant boulders in a slot canyon. The trail starts in an exposed area, but red rock walls get taller and closer as you approach the falls. The walls offers some shade from the sun, and the path is constantly in and out of the water, so it makes the perfect summer day hike.
Head east from Moab on Highway 128 for around 18 miles, then turn right on BLM road 98. Follow for another 2 miles to the end of the road. The trailhead is marked on the east side of the small parking lot, and the trail follows upstream.
